Had many difficulties, problems and challenges to prepare and organize international volunteer project?
Something went not as planned in your project? Problems with activities, participants, project team?
Who has not faced some, or all of it, or even more and other problems while preparing or participating to an international volunteer project of whatever kind?
There are so many things that need to be taken into account – and there are so many things that can (and sometimes do) go wrong – that can completely discourage a volunteer from continuing to sacrifice their time and effort for an organisation. Quite often these problems and failures are caused by a lack of planning, effective teamwork or communication. Sometimes they are the result of external factors that we forgot to take into account and did not make contingency for. And sometimes it is just a case of how to maintain our own enthusiasm in the face of unexpected and problematic situation, or also just new situation.
During the training we'd like to look at possible problems and mistakes, and learn from them in order to avoid them and prevent them in the future activities. Or make them even worse!
We want to share bad experiences and make bad advises, so that learning from them and acting as contrary to bad advise we can improve international volunteer projects.
So if you are wondering what you can do, in order to reduce or minimise all these problems and risks and ensure that all your effort is not in vain and that volunteering will actually prove rewarding and fun for you in the future – this is the right seminar for you.
The project is organized by SVIT-Ukraine in partnership with SCI branches and partner organizations, with support of Youth in Action programme of European Union and will take place in Lviv from 23rd of June till 1st of July 2014.
